I am an assistant professor of philosophy at Iowa State University.
I earned a PhD in history and philosophy of science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. Since then, I have taught at Yale, Duke, and Emory universities and served for a time as managing editor of the Journal of the History of Philosophy.
My teaching and research focuses on the history and philosophy of science, especially during the early modern period. I am particularly interested in the structure of scientific theories and theory change.Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies
